Completed on a trip to Whatipu beach. The sculptural rock island emerged from the sea of dry sand grass. I didn't get a chance to walk to the rock island, I will visit again soon.

This is an original oil painting on box canvas. It is signed and dated on the back by the artist. The painting continues around the edges on a 1½" / 38mm deep profile. It is strung with wire ready for hanging.
